Summer learning links for parents

With a new school year on the horizon, now is the time to make summer reading a priority. Our parents team here at Scholastic has culled together an outstanding collection of book recommendations by theme and age, tips for summer learning, and strategies for bolstering your child’s reading skills. We’ve picked out some of our favorites to share with you below. Happy reading!

  • Build your child’s reading stamina with series books. Check out our Hot Summer Series list featuring Harry Potter, The Magic Tree House books, and The 39 Clues.
  • Don’t have an exotic vacation planned this summer? Your kids can travel to faraway places with this list of Books that Take You Places.
